The Association of Taxation Technicians has announced that its new officers with effect from 2 July will be Annie Bailey (president), David Stedman (deputy president) and Simon Braidley (vice-president).
Annie Bailey is a senior tax and trust services manager with Menzies, based in Leatherhead, Surrey, specialising in the taxation and administration of trusts and estates.
She joined council in 1997 and qualified as an associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation in 1987. She served as chairperson of the examinations committee with overall responsibility for co-ordination of the ATT's examinations from July 2000 to July 2007, and has also chaired the association's technical and membership and student services committees.
Ms Bailey also represented the organisation on the education committee of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
David Stedman joined council in 2001. He became a member of the ATT in June 1993. He is self-employed and has been a registered member in practice since the scheme commenced in April 1997.
Mr Stedman was chairman of Sussex Branch for four years from 1999 to 2003. He is currently chairman of the joint standards committee and has been a member of the members and student services committee since 1998, serving on the members in practice registration scheme panel.
Simon Braidley became a fully qualified member of the ATT in 1998. He joined council in 2003 and is employed by Argenta Taxation Consultants in the City of London, specialising in the Lloyd's Insurance market.
Mr Braidley is a former registered member in practice and also served as chairman of the Severn Valley Branch and South West Branches regional co-ordinator. He is currently chairman of the members and student services committee and sits on the members in practice registration panel.
