Working apart

As a reader of Taxation of some 40 years standing and an occasional contributor to Readers' forum I read with interest the recent article by Malcolm Gunn on the subject of perceived fraudulent intent by taxpayers when indulging in normal tax planning activities and the attitude of those persons whose job it is to enforce the regulations (Taxation, 27 July 2006, page 464).
