TAX ADVICE WEEK organised by the CIOT to highlight the need for tax advice from qualified advisers ran from 16 - 23 October. It started with a debate in the lecture theatre at Deloitte's London offices in Stonecutter Court.

The panel was billed as including politicians from the three main parties in a 'Question Time' format with John Whiting in the David Dimbleby role. Unfortunately there was a three line whip for a debate on green taxes of all things and neither Vince Cable for the Liberal Democrats nor Rob Marris for Labour could get there.
