Now that the tax return deadline is behind us (and congratulations to all readers who survived the usual last-minute panics from clients leaving things very late) thoughts naturally turn to the 2025 Taxation Awards. Entries are already coming in steadily but we expect that the vast bulk of them will come in on or around the deadline date of 21 February – agents and clients aren’t all that different when it comes to deadlines!

I thought that it would be useful to share some thoughts based on many years of judging on what makes a good entry. I can’t guarantee that following these will automatically put you on the winners’ rostrum on the night but they will certainly help your entry stand out from the crowd.
