Loan charge reviews asks for evidence such as marketing material sent by scheme promotors

A call for evidence to gather information as part of the independent loan charge review announced in January has been launched by the Treasury.

Ray McCann who is leading the review said: ‘Anyone who has relevant information should provide that information to the review. It also asks advisers acting for those still subject to the loan charge to give their experience as well.

‘What the review needs most is documentary evidence such as copies of marketing material letters emails and so on sent to you by the promoters of these schemes. This will supplement the information the review already holds and add to the great deal of information albeit mostly anonymous that is in the public domain.
