Dealing with difficult clients.

Ever felt torn between firing a problematic client and keeping their fees? It’s a common dilemma. The higher the fees the harder it is to cut ties. But sticking with challenging clients can drain your energy and impact your mental health.

It’s easy to doubt yourself especially when a client’s demands are relentless. But let’s be clear: you don’t have to put up with bullies or unreasonable behaviour.

Maybe they’re always late demanding drag their feet when it’s time to pay or never follow your advice. Whatever the issue it’s often better to step back and ask: is this client adding value to my practice or just to my stress levels?

Trust your gut – it’s often right but ‘the customer is always right’ is a myth. It doesn’t apply when they won’t listen or they make unreasonable demands....
