EU non-co-operative list

Anguilla and Barbados have been added to the EU list of non-co-operative jurisdictions for tax purposes. The Cayman Islands and Oman have been removed.

Employment bureaux

HMRC has made significant changes to guidance on VAT and employment bureaux including new guidance on the ramifications of the Court of Appeal judgment in Adecco UK Ltd.
 

Virtual currencies

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development has published a report on taxing virtual currencies. It provides an overview of their current tax treatment and the emerging tax policy issues surrounding them. 

Protected pension age

HMRC says the protected pension age easement for some pension scheme members re-employed as a result of coronavirus will expire on 1 November.
