HMRC has updated factsheet CC/FS1a: General information about compliance checks to add coronavirus support payments to the list of items to which the factsheet relates.
Self-employment support
The self-employment income support scheme (SEISS) guidance has been revised to clarify that when an individual’s trading profit or total income for 2018-19 was adversely affected as a result of having a child they must ask HMRC to verify their eligibility before they can make a claim on or before 19 October 2020.
Self-isolation payment
The Social Security Contributions (Disregarded Payments) (Coronavirus) (England) Regulations SI 2020/1065 have been laid to provide that test and trace support payments made to people on low incomes who have been required to self-isolate due to coronavirus will be exempt from National insurance.
