Online accounts
HMRC suggests that employers encourage their employees to self-serve online by activating their personal tax accounts (PTAs) (www.gov.uk/personal-tax-account). They can use it notify HMRC of a change in their financial circumstances or address. They can also:
- update the information on the benefits they receive such as company car or medical cover;
- view and print a copy of the pay and tax details for the previous four tax years;
- claim tax relief on business expenses whether for cleaning their uniform or replacing their tools;
- print proof of their National Insurance number; ...
