Reaching for the stars

Attending the Taxation Awards this year I was already thrilled just to have been shortlisted for the rising star award. As a firm ForrestBrown has won a few awards over the past four years including best independent consultancy firm at the Taxation Awards 2016. But we are always careful to moderate our expectations when we go to the ceremonies so as not to leave disheartened if the results are not in our favour on the night. So when I won this one I was completely blown away. It is not something you can just expect when you start a career in tax.
