Making Tax Digital
I have many criticisms of what has been suggested in the Making Tax Digital (MTD) consultation documents published on 15 August. I have set out what I believe to be the most significant of these from my perspective of more than 50 years as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and as a tax practitioner for most of this time. HMRC needs to make several changes to its proposals or there is a risk of chaos.
