The trouble with HMRC’s customer service

 I will begin with an apology. The point of this article was to report on the latest ICAEW research into HMRC’s customer service standards and indeed I will do this but not before my own personal rant (sorry comment) on their service.

We all know that the deadline for 2013/14 self-assessment tax returns was 31 January. That was last Saturday. Did you find inner peace by the way as promised by HMRC’s advertising campaign after you had completed your returns?
