RICHARD CURTIS takes the magazine for its 4,000 issue service.

I SAW AN episode of 'The Simpsons' recently where Homer won a safari holiday. While the rest of his family take photos of the wildlife the scenery and the sunset Homer is taking a photograph of the Land Rover mileometer (odometer for the 'petrolheads') as it ticks over 100 000 miles. This is probably 'a guy thing' somewhere between train-spotting and keeping your record collection neat.

Just like Homer it seems only right that we should mark issue 4 000 of Taxation as it motors along the tax 'highway' or should that be 'super-highway' now that we have a souped-up website and the Revenue encourages e-business? Take a good look at the front cover because you will not be seeing that 'mileage' again; as far as I am aware there have not been any instances of a magazine being 'clocked'.
