JUST WHEN YOU get used to something it changes. It does not matter if it is your favourite brand of cereal newspaper or make-up the backroom boys decide it needs to be 'improved' or renamed or resized and guess what it is never as good as the original product. That is until you get used to it and they decide to change it again. Tax software is no less susceptible than any other product to change although it has to be said that on the whole changes made to the various self assessment programs have been enormous improvements unless that is the product is withdrawn altogether.

In the past a number of programs have disappeared. A notable large one was CSM's TaxMan way back in 2000 but several smaller products have also slipped into the ether....
