There are few books available to guide the tax professional through the maze of legislation underpinning the tax credits regime so a new volume is very welcome. 

Since the current system started in 2003/04 millions of families have been paid working tax credit and child tax credit each year.

Many have been overpaid and it seems likely that many more will have been underpaid but the system is not easy for people to understand and they frequently need help from welfare or tax advisers.

I was very pleased to learn Victoria Todd and Robin Williamson were writing this book both having considerable experience in this area and I have not been disappointed by the finished product. It is written in a clear concise style and is comprehensive and yet easy to read.
