Following up its micro-business round table in the summer of 2011 LexisNexis held another meeting to consider how the tax system could be improved for micro-businesses. The event was held under the Chatham House Rule to allow for an open debate.

Where we are

Chris Jones who chaired the meeting gave a concise summary of the current tax for the employed employers the self-employed and limited companies. He also reminded attendees of the proposals in his white paper which he presented at the first meeting (see A way forward).
