HMRC explain common reasons for rejection
Forms P11D, P11D(b) and P9D for 2010/11 must be submitted by 6 July. Forms containing errors, whether sent online or on paper, will be rejected and have to be resent.
HMRC say common reasons for rejection include:
- P11D – section F cars and fuel boxes 9 and 10: only completing one of the boxes when both should be completed.
- P11D – benefit code numbers not shown, i.e. A, B, C, etc. on substitute P11D forms and lists.
- P11D(b) – not signed, an agent’s stamp and initials are not accepted as a signature.
