Prize-winning caption adds up
As usual, a picture was provided for the CIOT London Branch quiz, and the teams were invited to suggest an appropriate caption.
This year, the photo showed Alistair Darling and a group of primary school children behind a cake bearing a number seven.
The winning caption was, ‘Mature student passes key stage 2 maths at the seventh attempt’.
The quiz was hosted by Olswang and sponsored by Thomson Reuters. Keith Gordon set the questions, and the guest quizmaster was Dave Hartnett.
The Tax Law Rewrite team was the winner.
