Support will continue, pledges PM

The prime minister has confirmed that all families who currently receive childcare vouchers will continue to get the same support, and that tax relief will be retained for any new vouchers issued in the future.

From April 2011, all new recipients will get the same tax relief as basic rate taxpayers to ensure that higher rate taxpayers do not benefit disproportionately.
