The established double act of BDO Stoy Hayward's Daniel Dover and financial journalist Tim Hindle with cartoon assistance from McLachlan have produced another little gem of a book about tax investigations.

Their latest book The Taxman Always Rings Twice once again explores the murky world of tax investigations and is technically right up to date.

The scenario of the book is a fictitious movie with the individual taxpayer being cast as the main character. The text then proceeds through all aspects of investigations and enquiries but with humorous asides and references and the book is written with a light touch.

A book on this subject and I am editor and co-author of one can be packed with substantial technical information and is likely to be daunting to all but the investigations specialist...
