A protocol to the double taxation convention between the UK and Singapore has been signed in the latter country.
It updates the exchange of information article of the existing agreement, to bring it into line with current Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development standard and practice.
The text of the protocol is available online. It will shortly be laid as a schedule to a draft order in council for consideration by the House of Commons. It will then also be available from the Stationery Office.
The protocol will enter into force 30 days after Singapore has notified the UK that it has both amended its domestic law on exchange of information and completed its procedures to bring it into force.
