I guess I have had my fair share of birthday cards in recent years containing in my view entirely inappropriate remarks directed at grand old age.

‘Please see inside for the complete answer to all signs of ageing’ and inside the card you find a large brown paper bag with the instruction to place over the head.

Alternatively ‘Dobbin the donkey has learnt to tap your age out with his hoof’ and inside the inscription says that Dobbin has collapsed with exhaustion before finishing the task.
