Filing of SDLT tax returns
Advisers who file stamp duty land tax returns using a CD ROM or 2D barcode should be aware that HMRC will not accept returns filed this way after 1 November 2008.
Returns can instead be filed using HMRC's Stamp Taxes Online, or - in Scotland only - using Registers of Scotland's Automated Registration of Title to Land service.
The rest of the UK also has the option of using third party software.
