In recent years we have seen an increase in the publication of books by managing directors both former and current who share their own experiences.

They include the brave (Richard Branson) the bold (Jack Welch) and the fierce but feminine (Carly Fiorina).

Most of them gave us personal accounts of their rise to fame the challenges faced by them as well as their successes and achievements. Some go so far as to share even their personal failures and tragedies.

Of course very few of these books give any insight into the true duties and responsibilities faced by directors and liabilities that flow from them. The Director's Responsibilities and Liabilities Handbook sixth edition does exactly that.
