Editorial note: road haulier letters

We are aware that some road hauliers have recently been sent a letter that appears to be similar in style to the much-criticised intervention letters sent out last year.

We are not clear how widespread the issue of the letter is, nor if there are any others circulating, and we have asked HMRC to comment.

We will report back in a future issue of Taxation.
