JUST IMAGINE IF the wheel had never been invented the job of the tax practitioner would be so much easier. Fewer forms P11D no quarterly forms P46(Car) (what do you mean 'what are they?') no fraught conversations with company directors over who was driving what twelve months ago no explaining the rules and definitions for vans no capital allowances calculations and no visits from the in-laws (scrap that last one). Love them or hate them modern man (and woman) seem unable to live without them which of course makes them a prime target for taxation! We are still talking...
