GIVE 'EM THE old razzle dazzle …  razzle dazzle 'em' so goes the song from Chicago and perhaps this is true of tax software: the more bells and whistles a programme has the more impressive it will be even though it may not be exactly what the user has in mind.
Tax software can be pretty dazzling in some cases with huge functionality covering a vast range of tax situations. The larger providers e.g. CCH Software IRIS MYOB and Sage all produce an array of tax software products which fall into this category. These companies' mainstream tax software is relatively expensive which is not surprising or unreasonable given the capability of the products.
