The November 2006 ATT examinations results are published.

THE RESULTS OF the ATT November 2006 taxation examinations have been published and the full list of those who passed the taxation exam are shown on the pdf file attached at the foot of this page.

689 candidates sat the Taxation papers of the examination with the following result:

  • Pass 499  (72%)
  • Fail 190  (28%)
  • Total 689  (100%)

Commenting on the results, the Association President, Jean Jesty, said:

'The number of candidates sitting the examination was one of the highest in recent years, as is the percentage of those passing, resulting in a record number passing the taxation papers. The students who achieved success in the November 2006 examinations can take pride in the standard that they have achieved, and I send them my warmest congratulations.'

ATT prizewinners

The following prize medals were awarded to those achieving the highest marks or as an outstanding candidate.

  • Gareth Kingsley Hill (BDO Stoy Hayward LLP) — The Association Medal for the best overall performance & the LexisNexis Butterworths Prize for the highest total mark in the Taxation papers.
  • Gordon Douglas Foster (Dundas & Wilson LLP (Solicitors)) —  The Ivison Medal for the highest mark in Personal Taxation.
  • Thomas Michael Bootman (BDO Stoy Hayward) — The Jennings Medal for the highest mark in Business Taxation.
  • Louise May Ansell (BDO Stoy Hayward LLP) — The President's Medal for other outstanding candidates.
  • Sara Angharad Lathwood (Clay Shaw Thomas Ltd) — The President's Medal for other outstanding candidates.
