MY DAUGHTER WENT back to university a couple of weeks ago. She is in her third year which meant that she was guaranteed a place in a hall of residence.
Last year was a bit more nerve-wracking. She is at a collegiate university and her college does not at the moment guarantee all their students accommodation for their second year. She found herself on the waiting list for a room dependent on whether everyone above her on the list who had been offered one took it up. So she investigated several other possibilities.
