Last year, my client started a business repairing lawnmowers. A nearby garden centre has also undertaken such work for many years, but the owners — who are old friends of my client — have apparently told him that he could take over this part of their business. As I understand it, the proposed deal is that my client will pay them a sum of money, in exchange for which he will receive their supply of spare parts, etc.
