Revenue law: principles and practice is one of those texts which set out to discuss the whole of the UK tax system in a comprehensive yet concise and comprehensible fashion. The fact that the book is now in its 23rd edition (though the first to be published by Tottel) is testimony to its success.
This year Revenue law has had to deal with an unprecedented number of minor changes. For example the book has updated many references to HMRC although a few outdated references to Customs and Excise remain. The text has also been updated to reflect the ITTOIA 2005. However different chapters have adopted different approaches to this task. For example the chapter dealing with property income refers only to the ITTOIA provisions and makes no reference to the fact...
