HMRC have published the updated property rental toolkit, directors loan account toolkit and company losses toolkit to assist agents when completing their clients’ 2011/12 returns.
VAT notes
The latest issue of HMRC quarterly VAT notes has been published: 2012 VAT Notes Budget Supplement. This supplement gives details of the changes to VAT announced in the Budget on 21 March 2012.
ISA Bulletin 43
The latest ISA bulletin is now available on HMRC’s website. It contains articles on the annual return of information and junior ISAs.
Skipton Fund
The government has confirmed that, with effect from 23 May, regular payments made to individuals in the UK infected with hepatitis C from NHS blood transfusions and blood products will be exempt from income tax.
P35 deadline
Employers have until 19 May to submit annual returns providing information of employees’ tax and National Insurance deductions during the tax year. They must do so online, with some exceptions: for example, people who employ their own carer, and those with religious objections.
