Companies House has launched a new service that allows third-party corporate service providers such as accountants legal professionals and company formation agents to apply to register as an authorised corporate service provider (ACSP).
The new service is one of the changes being made under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act to strengthen the business landscape in the UK. Anyone filing on behalf of a company must be based in the UK register with Companies House and be registered with a UK supervisory body for anti-money laundering purposes. They must also retain records of identity verification checks.
