Majid said: ‘I am delighted to be joining haysmacintyre as head of private client. At a time where there is so much uncertainty around the UK tax system, including with the non-domiciled regime, there will of course be challenges ahead for many private clients and international families. I look forward to tackling these issues both in the current, evolving landscape and in future.’
Managing partner Natasha Frangos said: ‘We are very excited to have Majid joining the firm. New leadership helps to inject fresh thinking and energy, supporting our aim to continuously improve and evolve our offering across all service lines and sectors.
‘I would also like to thank Katharine and Andrew for their service and ongoing support.’

Emma added: ‘I am so excited to be joining the team at Evelyn Partners. The mid-market in Cambridge and East Anglia is thriving. This market is my home in all senses of the word. Blick Rothenberg has announced two tax partner promotions.
Annie Hughes has been promoted to partner in US/UK private client which she joined in 2013. Annie said: ‘I specialise in providing tax advice to internationally mobile Americans and individuals looking to move to the US. Over 2,200 high net worth individuals moved to the US in 2023. I speak with individuals every week who are being head-hunted or taking their successful UK businesses to the US. Ensuring individuals understand the complexities of the US tax system and structure their affairs efficiently before the move is key.’
Lisa Gray has also been promoted to partner in US/UK private client. She has been with the firm for more than six years and in the industry for over ten years. Lisa said: ‘Americans love a trust, and when the settlor or their families move around the world, we see first-hand the impact local tax law can have on a family’s wealth. It is a common misconception that all trusts are used to shelter assets from taxation.’
In addition, Sarah Wilson-Nolan (corporate tax), Kugan Panchalingam (private client) and Oliver Burton (US/UK private client) have been promoted to director.
Claritas Tax has recruited tax managers Amy Barrows and Chloe Lee. They will work in the firm’s private client team, led by partner Sam Hart.

I am very much looking forward to working with them both and spending even more time in our northern regions.’
