The London Tax Society presents the 2022 tax writing competition.

Choose from one of the following topics:

  • Which current UK tax would you abolish and which would you increase to make up the shortfall in revenue?
  • How has UK tax changed over the last few years and how do you expect it to change in future?

Submissions should be 1 600 words and the deadline is 28 October 2022. Entries should be sent to events@londontaxsociety.com.

All entrants must be within ten years of achieving their first professional qualification at 30 October 2022 and work in a tax-related technical field.

The judges are:

  • Ximena Montes Manzano barrister at Temple Tax Chambers
  • Mala Kapacee director of London Tax Network Ltd and founder of London Tax Society.
  • Andrew Hubbard Taxation editor-in-chief
  • Allison Plager Taxation deputy editor

The winning article will be published in Taxation magazine and the writer will also receive a £100...
