How the tax affects businesses
The Office of Tax Simplification (OTS) has published a call for evidence and an online survey to seek views on how the tax affects businesses.
It is interested in the experience of business owners and managers as they engage with tax throughout the lifecycle covering start-up and registration calculating and paying tax and business closure or transfer.
The review will focus mainly on smaller businesses including self-employed individuals.
The OTS wants to hear directly from businesses professional advisers and representative bodies about which parts of the tax system are particularly complex and to receive suggestions for improvements.
Responses to the call for evidence should be emailed to ots@ots.gov.uk by 7 December 2018. To take the online survey visit the OTS website.
