Put your client admin into motion.
- Take the time to read the Treasury’s call for evidence on rent-a-room relief. You may have clients who claim this valuable allowance against rental income so it would be worth responding to the document if you have thoughts on how it works.
- The taxpayer’s appeal in Pearson was successful but the tribunal said he should have contacted HMRC sooner to discuss payment. Make sure clients who might be struggling financially keep you informed especially with the January deadline approaching.
- The High Court’s decision in Jimenez was that notices under FA 2008 Sch 36 do not apply...
