It is wonderful that Taxation is celebrating 90 years of publication. And so much has happened in those nine decades – new taxes introduced old ones phased out higher rates lower rates allowances for this relief for that and much more. In fact the one constant is constant tinkering.

But it is easy to look back and criticise. What could be done to improve the system? To this end here is what a few of Taxation’s contributors would like to be celebrating in ten years’ time.
