Wales

The Welsh government is consulting on a new small business rates relief scheme. It is due to come into force on 1 April 2018 and will replace the temporary arrangements in place since 2010. Comments should be emailed here by 13 October.

 

RPI

The retail prices index for July 2017 was 272.9.

 

ADIT

The Chartered Institute of Taxation announced that 490 candidates passed at least one advanced diploma in international taxation (ADIT) exam in June 2017. A total of 135 students have completed the diploma in the past six months including the first ones from Austria Cambodia Ghana Kuwait Lebanon and Saudi Arabia.
