Business expenses

The Treasury has extended until 10 July the deadline for submissions to the call for evidence on income tax relief for employees’ business expenses.

 

Google

Google has agreed to pay €306m to the Italian tax authorities. This covers corporation taxes for periods back to 2002.

 

Kuwait

Kuwait has become the 110th signatory to the multilateral convention on mutual administrative assistance in tax matters.

 

Women in Tax

Women in Tax is holding its next meeting on 25 May at Mazars’ London office at 6pm. Margaret Hodge former chair of the House of Commons’ Public Accounts Committee will be discussing her book  Called To Account. Tickets cost £20. See here.
