- It is worth persevering if HMRC refused to suspend a penalty for careless error as the decision of the First-tier Tribunal in Duncan shows. Make sure the conditions proposed are specific and will help to prevent similar inaccuracies occurring.
- Have you any partnership clients who would be affected by HMRC’s proposals to change the taxation of these entities? It could be worth reviewing them to see which ones would have to make changes to conform should the new measures go ahead.
