- In Battu (TC5303) the taxpayer failed to respond to communications from HMRC because he thought his tax would be sorted by the PAYE system. Why not submit to the local press an article highlighting the importance of dealing with letters from the Revenue – whether the taxpayer is in PAYE self-employed or retired.
- If a client has a representative office in China and has claimed exemption under the double taxation agreement because it produces no income in China keep an eye on it in case it does start to carry out activities that will be taxable there.
