Password problem

In July HMRC introduced a new login page based on core government gateway design which only supported passwords of 12 characters or less. This was a problem for users who had been using longer passwords to access HMRC online services. This has now been rectified. An HMRC press spokesman said: ‘The login page has now been changed to accommodate those users who have passwords greater than 12 characters.’

Lenders list

HMRC has published a list of mortgage providers and lenders who accept an SA302 tax calculation or tax year overview.
