HMRC digital support well used over self-assesment peak period
Some 170,000 taxpayers accessed HMRC’s digital support during the 2015/16 self assessment peak period, according to HMRC statistics.
For example:
- YouTube attracted 94,154 views;
- 10,965 self-assessment agent toolkit were downloaded;
- ready reckoners received 45,010 views; and
- e-learning support was accessed 3,689 times.
About 15,000 people logged on to HMRC’s ‘one to many’ live webinars; extra sessions were held over the deadline weekend with 2,500 taxpayers joining them between Friday and Monday.
