HMRC had received about 7.7 million self assessment tax returns by 22 January. They expect to receive another 3.3 million by 31 January.

International tax
The Revenue is running two international training and development programmes for senior managers and tax auditors. The programmes which are delivered by HMRC on behalf of the Commonwealth Association of Tax Administrators begin in mid-April and have online and residential elements. The closing date for applications is 26 February 2016.
