Put your client admin into motion.

  • If you have clients whose tax affairs will be affected by flooding contact HMRC to see what help they can offer in terms of for example time-to-pay arrangements or deadline extensions.
  • In Finch the tribunal praised the taxpayer’s thorough record keeping but described the presentation of the information as confused. Make sure that clients are aware of the importance of maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Although a liquidation is not a transaction in securities a series of transactions that includes a liquidation might be caught by the anti-avoidance rules.
