- The employee benefit trust settlement opportunity will close in March 2015. If any of your clients are in dispute with HMRC about EBTs consider whether they should use the opportunity to settle.
- In C M Oddy the taxpayer said returns had been posted in time and HMRC said they had not. The taxpayer won on this occasion but it is a reminder of the importance of keeping accurate records ideally with proof of posting when sending time-sensitive documents to HMRC.
