Conference to cover new place of supply rules
HMRC are to hold a workshop about the changes to the VAT place of supply of services and mini one-stop shop (MOSS) rules on 2 June at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, Broad Sanctuary, London SW1P 3EE.
New VAT place of supply of services rules from 1 January 2015 will shift the place of supply for business to consumer supplies of broadcasting, telecommunications and electronic services from where the supplier of the services is established to the where the customer is resident or located.
The Revenue’s event – organised with the support of the European Commission – is to familiarise as many business representatives as possible with the rule changes and the functioning of MOSS.
Delegates will have the chance to put questions to EC officials and the representatives of member state tax administrations present.
Places must be booked by email no later than 25 April.
