WE OFTEN CRITICISE HMRC in Taxation. We think that it is part of our role to articulate the complaints that we know are muttered in tax practitioners' offices up and down the country. So recently we've had a go at form 42 and online filing, amongst other issues.

But the point of complaining is to try and get something changed not just to reprise our well-known impression of Victor Meldrew. Taxation is therefore printing today as the centre four pages of the magazine the questions that HMRC has raised in its small business consultation document issued with the Budget. We urge readers to pull the pages out fill them in and send them back. The full document can be accessed from the HMRC website but...
