HMRC have warned of another problem with their business tax dashboard, following the recent month eight error.
The latest error means the dashboard is not showing the correct liability position for tax months nine and ten of some PAYE schemes. Employers may find they are being told they owe more tax than expected for the affected months.
HMRC have warned of another problem with their business tax dashboard, following the recent month eight error.
The latest error means the dashboard is not showing the correct liability position for tax months nine and ten of some PAYE schemes. Employers may find they are being told they owe more tax than expected for the affected months.
The issue arises where employee-leaver details relating to 2012/13 or earlier years have been erroneously included on any full payment submissions (FPS) submitted this tax year, and live payment data in respect of the same worker is included on a subsequent FPS.
In these circumstances, Revenue systems create a new employment on the employer’s record, resulting in duplicated charges for months nine and ten. But businesses and their agents do not need to take action, said the tax authority, which aims to correct all cases by 10 February.
